The Soundrom REHEARSAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking a rehearsal or recording session at The Soundroom (The Soundroom Community Music Project ) you are entering into a contract by which you are agreeing unconditionally on behalf of the band/artist to abide by the studio's terms and conditions as detailed below.
Booking a rehearsal: Rehearsal and recording bookings, times and dates are subject to availability and approval from a member of The Soundroom team.
The Soundroom reserves the right to cancel bookings at any time with or without prior notice or explanations.
Cancellations: We have a cancellation period of 48 hours. All Cancellations can be notified via the online booking system, or by calling 0191 4771116 (please leave a message if you get through to the answerphone) or by email
Bands/Artists are responsible to pay in full for the time slots in which they have booked their recording or rehearsal session for
Early Load-Ins: This is not always possible during our busier times
Equipment: All rehearsal rooms are provided with a PA and Mic Stands and all the backline equipment you should ever need. Please enquire about guitar / keyboard or other instrument loans from our instrument library
Breakages and damages to studio equipment: Any damage caused to studio equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to the band/individual. If an item of equipment is damaged or missing at the start of your session please report it to the reception staff immediately.
Personal items/lost property: Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. The Soundroom is not responsible for any items that are lost or damaged on the premises.
Smoking: Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the building. Please use the designated smoking area outside and ensure you are a safe distance from the studio and that your cigarette stubs are disposed of in the cigarette bins.
Food/Drink: You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into your rehearsal room; however, this must not be placed on any of the equipment under any circumstances. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drink will be charged as per our damages policy above.
Rubbish / Broken Drumsticks: Please help us to keep the rehearsal rooms tidy by placing any rubbish in the bin provided in the entrance area.
Broken drumsticks are a hazard to other room users and studio equipment. Please make sure that you put it in the bin before you leave.
